Orchards Swimmers National Success
Our incredible swimming team finished 3rd in National Primary Swimming Championships in Sheffield
The event, held at the impressive Ponds Forge swimming centre, featured many primary schools from all over the country. Our team of Piper, Hollie, Isla and Alexie, smashed through the heats by winning theirs in a personal best time which was 4 seconds quicker than in the regional finals. In the final itself, they beat their best time again by a further second and finished in 3rd place overall. The 2 teams ahead of them, Guildford High and Croydon High, are both private schools and so, as a result, the girls were presented with the Presidents Award for being the best state school in the competition. What an incredible performance from these 4 talented young ladies!
