This week you will be able to create food chains using the terms ‘producer’, ‘consumer’ and ‘predator’.
Part 1: Work through the PowerPoint taking time to talk about each slide, there are lots of questions to answer which should lead to some nice discussions. Where possible try to encourage the children to think about their own examples that they could apply to each slide.
Part 2: Either by using the resources provided, or by drawing their own, the children need to create some examples of their own food chains. How many can they create? It would be great if they could label the producer, consumer and predator in each of their food chains.
